Bought new tires for my daily driver yesterday from Discount Tire. I ordered them from their website (www.discounttire.com) and they were shipped to the local store for free, and they called me when they had actually arrived at the store.
During the tire replacement, they found out that back in 2011, when a different Discount Tire was installing my aftermarket rims, they had chosen the wrong type of lug nut. The Discount Tire I was at yesterday decided to honor the original purchase and gave me the correct lug nuts without further charge.
I also currently work with someone who was previously employed by Discount Tire as well, and he has had good things to say about how they take care of their employees. He left the company to pursue a different career path, but was otherwise happy about his experiences with them.
They also offer price matching on their tires, so if you can find it cheaper, they'll try to beat it.
Now, obviously, because these stores are staffed by humans, your own experiences related to customer service may differ significantly from mine, but if you're looking for new tires, give Discount Tire a chance.
At the minimum, you won't try to be sold anything other than wheels and tires.
I was not compensated in any way for this mini review, I just really like Discount Tire since having switched to them after a disappointing experience at Les Schwab.
