Lead, follow, or get out of the way

"I can always find another job."

"I can always find another country."

Cowards will always find an excuse to justify running away.

The loftier the rhetoric they subscribe to, the easier it is to obfuscate the truth of what they're really doing.

Pride always goes before a fall, and the belief that people can win by refusing to play is suicidal.

"I won't sink to their level."

"They win by getting you to abandon what you value."

Did nobody learn from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? They didn't run away, they stared down death and God had their back.

God took care of them because they stood up for what mattered instead of running away.

They didn't "sink" to play someone else's game, everyone is playing the exact same game from the moment they are created.

We're all in the same game, we're all held to the same rules, and we'll all be judged by the same God at the end of it all.

"At least I have my principles."

"Death before dishonor."

Martyrs for causes that don't even matter, while shirking their duty on things that do.

Such behavior will not be venerated in hindsight.

These are the acts that solicit mockery, derision, desecration.

Get right with God and start fighting, even if you start small, because when you're on God's "side", you've got everything you'll ever need.
